English Language Education

The Department of English Language Education prepares graduates to become highly effective teachers of English in Iraqi secondary and preparatory schools. The programme combines rigorous academic training in language, literature, and linguistics with practical teaching methodology.

Students engage with applied linguistics, English literature, translation studies, and communication skills alongside specialised courses in curriculum design, lesson planning, and language assessment โ€” giving them the tools to teach with confidence and creativity.

Faculty members bring expertise spanning applied linguistics, literary studies, and EFL pedagogy, ensuring students benefit from both scholarly depth and real classroom experience throughout their four years of study.
